He joined ACWA Power in 2014 as Senior Manager – CSP (Concentrating Solar Power) and in 2020 he
was appointed as head of Renewable technical function including PV, Wind, BESS and CSP
technologies.
Before ACWA Power, Jose has been working in Abengoa Solar for 9 years in Concentrating Solar
Power projects around the world.
He is Industrial Engineer specialized in Energy for University of Seville (Spain).
He has several publications, patents, and papers about solar energy.

Jonathan Tintinger currently heads up AMEA Power's Technical Solar Team, where he manages a team of engineers focused on technical development, construction advisory as well as operational support. He is a seasoned professional with a background in electrical, grid engineering as well as energy modelling and technical contracting support. He has been working in the renewable energy industry from 2012, focused primarily on utility scale markets including Africa, The Middle East and Asia. 
Jonathan led the technical front on the closure of AMEA Power's largest PV project in Egypt at the time.  

Uma Nathany is the Head of Project Finance in Al Jomaih Energy and Water. She has almost two decades of extensive experience in fund raising and acquisitions of energy, water and infrastructure projects across Middle East, North Africa and Asia. Before joining Al Jomaih, Uma worked in Engie, RWE Renewables and Synergy Consulting in the past. Uma has steered several award-winning financial closures of marquee multi-billion-dollar projects, which have received global recognition. Uma has completed her management studies from IIT Bombay’s SJM School of Management, India and Bachelors in Engineering from IIEST, Shibpur, India

Thomas Spannring joined EtihadWE in August 2024 from leading German renewable energy company, Siemens Gamesa. At Siemens, he held several senior leadership positions, exploring opportunities in sustainable development. He has an MBA from the University of Augsburg and a degree from the University of Bayreuth.

Kevin Gharabaghi is the Global Solar Technical Lead at Bureau Veritas, overseeing the technical functions of BV’s solar business worldwide. Based in Dubai, UAE, he leads a global network of solar experts across more than 150 countries, covering product certification, site assessment, design, permitting, supply chain services, construction management, and asset operations.

With over a decade of experience in the solar industry, Kevin has worked across diverse regions, gaining deep insights into the unique challenges of each market. His expertise spans operations and maintenance, business development, project management, and construction leadership, with a strong focus on field operations, project execution, and digital transformation in solar energy.

Avanthika has around 15 years of experience working in the electricity and power sector. She is passionate about energy transition through the adoption of newer technologies such as energy storage, electric vehicles, and hydrogen. She has been working closely with policy makers, utilities, and private sector players in enabling adoption of these technologies, in India, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East. Her experience covers supporting companies through strategic decision making through technology evaluation, techno-commercial analysis, supporting manufacturing and mapping of supply chain.

Faisal Ali Al Rashid is the Senior Director of the Demand Side Management (DSM) Directorate at the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, overseeing energy demand management in Dubai. He also chairs the Advancing Net Zero Volunteering Team, focused on accelerating decarbonization in UAE cities. Prior to this, Faisal worked for over 16 years in the oil and gas industry, successfully leading major EPC projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from Ohio University, and along with PMP credentials and policy-making certifications.

Rami Hamati is an Energy Engineer graduate with extensive experience of more than 7+ years in renewable energy and energy efficiency. As the Development Manager at Emerge (a Masdar & EDF joint venture), he leads solar and energy storage projects, supporting commercial and industrial partners to meet sustainability goals. Rami holds numerous certifications, including Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Renewable Energy Professional (REP), and Carbon Auditing Professional (CAP), and has managed over 750 MW in projects across agriculture, poultry, industrial, and commercial sectors in the GCC region and beyond. His expertise spans technical and commercial aspects, from designing and implementing PV systems to conducting energy audits and managing stakeholder relations. With a commitment to advancing affordable, clean energy, Rami provides tailored solutions, enabling clients to achieve significant energy and cost savings while contributing to regional net-zero targets.

Mohamed Saady, a seasoned energy professional with over 15 years of experience, has a proven track record in power generation, renewable energy, and energy efficiency consultancy across the MENA region. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Renewable Energy Engineering, he currently serves as the Head of Technical Services for the Middle East and North Africa region at Jinko Solar, a leading solar supplier

Khalid Salmi is a Sustainable Energy Management Senior Expert at the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE). Graduated as a mechanical energy engineer and holds an MSc degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, he joined RCREEE in 2014. As an Expert, Khalid Salmi is actively leading the management of RCREEE’s sustainable energy standardization and certification unit, in addition to the development of the green hydrogen portfolio within the center, aiming to align the green hydrogen impetus in the Arab region with the global standardized practices and actions, and to unlock the real renewables PtX potential in RCREEE member states in a manner to maximize the economic, social and environmental benefits of this promoting industry across the Arab region.

With over 11 years of professional experience, and under several projects and activities, Khalid Salmi used to lead and coordinate different projects and program of activities in close cooperation between the Arab governments and various international development organizations, including IGOs, development banks, IFIs, UN programs, in addition to other alliances and networks involved in the energy industry and green economy affairs worldwide. This practical expertise covered different working axes around the important role of green technologies and practices as effective instruments for the sustainable management of resources, and the deployment of new clean energy vectors, toward tackling economic and environmental challenges at all levels.

Eng. Mohammed Al Ta'ani is the Secretary General of  Arab Renewable Energy Commission  (AREC)and the Vice Chairman of Jordanian Renewable Energy Society (JRES) & general manager . He is the founder of both JRES & AREC.  He was working in the field of Renewable Energy since 1988 (Solar PV &Green Building) as Project manager and researcher and publish more than 25 papers. From 1999-2007 he was the project manager for the Renewable energy in King Abdullah the Second Design&Development Bureau (KADDB). In 2002 he was the Project manager for the Jordanian Solar Car & Zero fossil Fuel House (Eco House for KADDB) Project manager. He was the Vice Director of Energy Center in Jordan University from 2007 until 2008 where he was working as the founder of this center. He was the founder of the Global Net for Renewable Energy in the Desert regions (GNREADER). Also was  the Chairman of Renewable energy committee in Jordan Institution for Standards & Metrology , Ambassador of the DONG energy solar challenge events in the middle-east countries (World Cup for Solar Powered Boats). Member in the board of directors of renewable energy center in Philadephia university.

Romain is a renewable energy professional with more than 15 years of experience across Europe and Middle East. He is responsible for leading all aspects of operations, maintenance and asset management at EDF Renewables, a global leader in renewable electricity production without CO2 emissions.
 
Since 2017, Romain has been driving O&M organizations for EDF renewables energies business in the Middle East region, having extensive experience in the Operations of flagship utility-scale renewables projects including the largest solar Park in UAE (Al Dhafrah 2.1 GWp) and the largest wind farm in the region. (Dumat Al Jandal 400 MW)
 
His current role consists of defining and implementing efficient strategies to maximize assets energy production and ensure optimal financial performance.

Mohamed is the Chief Development Officer at KarmSolar, a leading utility player in renewable energy in Egypt. Since 2018, he has spearheaded commercial strategies in the energy industry, particularly in solar energy and battery storage systems. His expertise in transforming Capex-driven operations into Opex-based business models has been instrumental in advancing the renewable energy sector in Egypt. Prior to KarmSolar, Mohamed was the Chief Commercial Officer at SolarizEgypt, contributing significantly to the growth of solar energy solutions and the role of Independent Power Producers in the C&I sector. He holds a BBA in Management from the University of Toronto.

Abdullatif is the Director for Emirates Green Building Council.  

With 25+ years of experience, Abdullatif specialises in sustainability, energy and environmental management. His areas of expertise also include quality and operations management and process technology.  He is a chemical engineer in background and holds an MSC in Energy Studies and one of the first qualified energy engineers in Jordan.

Abdullatif is also a judge for number of prestigious international and national awards in energy and risk management. 

He is member of the Energy Institute and serves as the Honorary Vice Chair of the Middle East branch. He is also Specialist Fellow of the International Institute of risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and served in many positions in the institute.

He is Associate Professor in Renewable Energy Engineering at University of Birmingham Dubai.
He has over 15 years of experience in teaching, research, management. He has the experience of initiating engineering programmes, and worked at mid/senior management roles that provided him the opportunity to have holistic insights and oversights of program leadership.
Dr Ali carries global context as well as significant understanding of UAE higher education market as he has been responsible for programme development, community engagement, curriculum development and lead research/dissertation projects forcused on renewable energy.
He has been conducting research focusing on cross cutting themes of economic, technical, social, political challenges and stresses related to renewable energy and sustainable development.

Haytham Abdo, an experienced leader in renewable energy, has over 12 years of diverse sector experience. With a focus on driving business growth and profitability, Haytham holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from Brunel University London and certifications from esteemed institutions. Currently serving as the General Manager of Development at Desert Technologies Nurun Division in Jeddah, Haytham has played integral roles in the company's growth, overseeing business development and project development in the Middle East and Africa. His expertise spans utility-scale Solar PV and Wind projects, Hybrid & Mini-grid systems, and EV charging Infrastructure. Prior to Desert Technologies, Haytham has held positions at AMEA Power and Al Nowais Investments.

Ashok has more than 30 years of experience in renewable energy industry with specific focus on solar . He has extensive experience in the business development and project management of solar projects in India and the Middle East. 
   A graduate electronics engineer, he has worked in both government and private sector organisations like BHEL , Reliance Industries in India as well as Siraj Power in the UAE. He has built teams to work and grow the nascent solar business in these markets.
    He has been involved in the pioneering stages of the solar industry development in India as well as in the UAE and brings a wealth of business experience & expertise to Siraj Power.

Yinka is an investment consultant and chairman of Foreign Investment Network (FIN), a UK publishing and consulting firm that produces FIN Magazine which is published in English, Chinese and French. As a lead at FIN, Olayinka organizes investment and business events globally, promoting inward investment to Africa.
She holds an MBA and a BSc [Hons] in economics and she is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Economists. Her work with youth and women has been recognized through awards from the Financial Standard Newspaper and GC4W for ‘Most Dynamic Nigerian Female in Diaspora’ and ‘Global Women Champion for Leadership in Business and Entrepreneurship in America’ respectively among others.
Yinka, a pioneer staff and former director of Nigerian Investment Promotion commission (NIPC) has held various positions around the world, including joining the Nigerian
National Vision 2020 team, participating as a juror on the BBC World Challenge, and serving as a Governor of Brent Council in the UK. Her interest in global affairs has taken Yinka to over 80 countries

Dr. Iman Nasseri, Managing Director - Middle East, is based in Dubai. He received his PhD in Economics in the United States, focusing on energy economics, in 2013.
In FGE, he is primarily focused on downstream oil and NGLs. Iman is responsible for Middle East oil research; he also works closely with the refining team and has been involved with FGE’s Annual World Refining Outlook since 2014.
Since Jan 2018, as MD of Middle East, Iman has been in charge of the FGE analysis and coverage of the Middle East for oil, NGLs, petrochemicals, and power.
Iman holds a Master’s degree in Energy Systems Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He previously worked for Iran’s Institute for International Energy Studies (IIES), the research arm of the Ministry of Petroleum.
Before relocating to FGE-London in 2014 as a full-time consultant, Iman joined FGE's Hawaii office in 2009 on a part time basis, where he was involved with several refining and gas/LNG-related projects.

As the VP of Sales Enablement at Yellow Door Energy, Valantis is responsible for providing sustainable energy solutions for energy-intensive users across all operating markets. He has over a decade of experience in energy consultancy, asset management and insurance across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Prior to joining Yellow Door Energy, he served as Market Manager at DNV for Greece and the East Mediterranean region. He also led the renewable energy technical advisory services business for Middle East and Africa.
Valantis has a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering from University College London (UCL).

Mr. Hallaj has over a decade of experience in the solar energy and green hydrogen industries around the MENA region. He currently fills the position of CCO at both O2Global Energy and H2Global Energy, which are leading solar energy and green hydrogen developers in the MEA region with a pipeline value of over $20 billion. Mr. Hallaj holds a bachelor's degree of mechanical engineering from the University of Jordan and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot Watt University with focus on Finance and Strategy. He is also a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Renewable Energy Professional (REP), Business Energy Professional (BEP), and Projects Management Professional (PMP).

Megna Rajagopal is a Global Sustainability Engineering Master's graduate and Certified Solar Business Development Professional. She currently works as a Clean Energy Market Research Analyst at Solarabic, where she applies her technical expertise to analyze renewable energy trends, particularly in the MENA region. Megna has conducted extensive research on solar PV reliability and raised awareness about climate issues. Passionate about sustainable development, she is committed to promoting diversity in the energy sector. Megna participates in initiatives like the Women in Renewable Energy Expedition and the Women in Energy Mentoring Program, which support the development of future leaders and encourage greater inclusivity in the clean energy industry.

Mr. Wasif Shaikh was appointed to X-NOORs Chief Technology Officer in 2023 and leads the technical efforts to develop innovative and optimized clean energy solutions that aid customers in achieving their decarbonization targets. Prior to joining X-NOOR, Wasif held the position of Technical Lead for Hybrid Systems at Dutco Group in the UAE, one of X-NOORs shareholders. Wasif has previously led feasibility studies for EU investments in the Global South and managed the implementation of a utility-scale Tesla Power Pack coupled with a novel substation in the UAE. Wasifs deep understanding of the solar energy sector and its dynamics across the GCC region are crucial for X-NOOR.

Alissa King is a seasoned lawyer and trusted advisor with a 15-year track record of delivering pragmatic and commercially-driven legal solutions across the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Alissa is currently the General Counsel and a Board Member of Positive Zero, the leading energy transition partner in the region, headquartered in Dubai and backed by BlackRock. Positive Zero is dedicated to empowering a new energy economy with fully-financed decarbonization-as-a-service offerings in decentralized generation, resource efficiency, and clean mobility.
Since 2021, Alissa has provided legal, corporate, and governance support to Positive Zero and its platform companies, including Siraj Power, which is the leading provider of distributed solar energy solutions in the GCC and which boasts the region’s largest portfolio of distributed solar energy.
In her tenure with Positive Zero she has contributed to the conclusion of what is now a portfolio of [120] MW of solar energy solutions on behalf of SirajPower and helped to secure up to $400 million of funding for these projects from BlackRock Middle East Infrastructure Fund.
Previously, Alissa was a transactional finance lawyer at Allen & Overy LLP, where she spent over ten years developing deep expertise in solar infrastructure projects. She led multiple first-of-their-kind project financings, including the USD 4.4 billion 950MW DEWA IV CSP and PV project in Dubai (at the time the largest CSP project in the world) and the first solar power projects to reach financial close in Egypt under Egypt’s 2GW Feed-in-Tariff II Program.
[She was also seconded to Emirates Global Aluminium where she assisted in securing various financings and management of their USD 7 billion debt portfolio. In addition to her corporate career, Alissa has worked at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and the European Parliament, and she has done human rights legal work in Egypt and Palestine.]
Alissa holds dual US and French law degrees from Columbia University and University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Alissa has built of team of three women within Positive Zero and she has served as a mentor with Mentor for young women in Masdar's Women in Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy (WiSER) Programme for the past two years.

Ghada is a dedicated sustainability and energy expert with extensive experience in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability strategy. She is currently a Strategy and Advisory Principal Consultant at AESG, where she helps organizations decarbonize and achieve their sustainability goals. She played a key role in managing energy performance contracts and supporting major green initiatives across the MENA region. Ghada also serves as a Future Energy Leader at the World Energy Council, and the Education and Events Lead at Advancing Net Zero Volunteering Team.

Ghada holds master’s degrees in both mechanical engineering and energy studies. She is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP), LEED AP O&M, and Pearl Qualified Professional (PQP). Her accolades include the ‘Rising Star in Sustainability and Energy Leadership’ award by the 2023 Women in Energy Summit.
An advocate for women's leadership in STEM, Ghada has a proven track record in technical support, strategic development, and project management. She regularly speaks at industry conferences, sharing her expertise and inspiring others in the energy sector.

Carolin Mao, SMM photovoltaic senior analyst, CFA level 3 candidate, has securities practitioners, fund practitioners, futures practitioners, investment consultants and other qualifications.
In-depth research on the PV industry chain, maintain close contact with upstream and downstream companies in the industry, pay attention to the development of industry technology, track and analyze the supply and demand and price trends of the industry chain.

Fazle Moyeen, is an energy industry professional with over 30 years of experience in the industry and worked globally across Southeast Asia, MENA, Europe and UK regions. He has worked in a diverse range of technologies and business development from fossil fuel to renewable energy, smart GIGA cities and in the space of Green Hydrogen including derivatives. His expertise brings valuable insights into the evolving energy market landscape, penetration of green hydrogen in the renewable sphere, climate change and net zero challenges.
Moyeen works for ACWA Power in the capacity of Executive Vice President – Business Development Technical Services and additionally holds the position of President in MESIA. 

Dan joined the WeConnect Energy leadership team at the start of 2024, taking on the role of Managing Director., Dan studied Engineering at Loughborough University before starting a career in recruitment in London, setting up a conventional power desk for a start-up energy-focused recruitment consultancy.

In 2012, Dan relocated to Western Australia, where he worked for well-established multinational organisations focusing on the oil and gas industry, before Dan moving to Dubai in 2016 and shifting focus towards the Renewable and Alternative Energy sectors. Maria Flouda is the founder of Sustainability Switch Consultancy, a UAE-based solopreneur venture dedicated to helping organizations align their sustainability strategies with the rapidly evolving, AI- and technology-driven business landscape, as well as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
She also serves as the Board Co-Chair and UAE Network Leader of Lean In Equity and Sustainability, a social impact organization committed to democratizing access to information and opportunities for women and allies in the green transition.

Dr. Nabih Cherradi serves as Chief Technology Officer at Desert Technologies, a Saudi group based in Jeddah. With over 34 years of experience in technology development, equipment manufacturing and production lines, as well as business development in the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries, he has deep expertise in his field and large knowledge of the sector.
Before joining Desert Technologies, Dr. Cherradi founded EmpowerSun, photovoltaic consulting firm based in Switzerland, in 2009, where he serves as Managing Director. He was also co-founder of ISWT, a French company specializing in solar development. From 2007 to 2009, as vice president and chief technology officer (CTO) at Yingli Green Energy, he contributed to the company's rapid expansion. He also participated in the IPO of Yingli Green Energy on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
Prior to that, as Director of Operations at Applied Materials from 1997 to 2007, Dr. Cherradi was responsible for the turnkey installation of semiconductor and solar panel production lines around the world.
Dr. Cherradi is also a scientist specializing in advanced materials for various applications. From 1990 to 1997, he held the position of associate professor and researcher at the école Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland.
In addition to his professional activities, Dr. Cherradi is recognized by his peers as an expert and executive member of the European Technology Innovation Platform Photovoltaics in Brussels and president of SolarUnited (an international solar industry association).
He holds a doctorate in materials sciences from Henri Poincaré University in Nancy, as well as an MBA from the école Supérieure de Commerce de Nancy in France

Sean Zhu is the General Manager of Trinabot Co., Ltd., known for his global strategic vision and deep expertise in market-oriented operations. His career spans high-end manufacturing and intelligent technology industries. As the founder of the company, he has successfully led multiple technological industrialization projects from concept to large-scale implementation. He has also gained extensive management experience within Fortune 500 multinational corporations, where he spearheaded the development of full-chain operational systems covering R&D, production, and commercialization. His innovation-driven leadership style and resource integration capabilities provide forward-looking solutions for technological advancements and business model transformation in the renewable energy sector.
Prior to this, from 2009 to 2018, he worked at OTIS as the Global Supply Chain Director, where he led global supply chain optimization, intelligent manufacturing upgrades, and operational system restructuring, significantly enhancing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and generating substantial business value.
From 2018 to 2021, he served successively as General Manager of FAAC Simply Automatic and Liftcore. In these roles, he was fully responsible for corporate strategic planning, business expansion, and market-oriented operations, driving the sustainable application of intelligent manufacturing and automation technologies to achieve business growth and enhanced industry competitiveness.

With a Ph.D. from the University of New South Wales, Australia, he has over four decades of experience in academia and industry. Dr. Bou-Rabee has published extensively in renewable energy and is a Senior Member of the Institute of
Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He has held key roles, including Deputy General Manager and technical consultant, and is an active member of the Kuwait Society of Engineers.

Dr. Keramat Fakhari, a RWTH Aachen graduate, is the Managing Director for the Middle East, Africa, Türkiye, CIS & South Asia at HiTHIUM Energy Storage, leading regional operations and strategic growth in energy storage. With over 20 years of experience at Siemens Energy and GE, he specializes in BESS, power generation, and decarbonization. With deep expertise in sales, business development, and energy, he possesses proven leadership and industry insight combined with academic research background from DLR - German Aerospace Center.

Ms Bernice Swarts is a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa, representing the African National Congress (ANC). With a career rooted in public service and community activism, Ms Swarts is recognised for her steadfast commitment to social justice and economic empowerment.
Ms Swarts' work in Parliament is marked by a focus on issues such as gender equality, education, and community development. She is a passionate advocate for policies that promote equitable access to opportunities and resources for all South Africans. Throughout her tenure, Ms Swarts has served on various Parliamentary committees, contributing to critical discussions  and legislative processes. Her roles have included significant involvement in committees related to social development, education, and health. Her insights and leadership have been instrumental in advancing legislative initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of South African citizens.

Marcus has over 20 years’ experience in renewable energy development and investment and asset-based lending, predominantly in EMEA and LATAM. 
In total, Marcus’ experience spans over more than 50 successfully concluded PV projects. Over the last decade, Marcus acquired in-depth knowledge of PV component manufacturers, EPCs, IPPs and has also developed his own portfolio of C+I assets.
Currently, Marcus is the CEO Renewables for FAS Energy, the clean energy arm of Saudi FAS Holding, a developer an IPP of renewable energy projects with a focus on emerging markets..
Until October 2023, Marcus was the Country Director UAE DG at TotalEnergies, based in Dubai, where he ran a team of 11 staff made up of business developers, project managers and O+M specialists.
Before, with his own boutique consultancy, Marcus advised a number of international corporations including a Chinese PV component manufacturer, a West-African utility, a Swedish developer of storage solutions, and a Russian blockchain platform, on various renewable energy matters and auctions.
Previously, Marcus headed the MEA Project Development unit of JinkoSolar’s Energy Division, where he built the team and was institutional for the overall strategic development in the region, which has since then led to multiple successes. His expertise secured the winning bid for the 1.2 GWp Sweihan PV project in the United Arab Emirates (then the largest single site PV project globally).
Prior to this, Marcus headed the development function for EMEA and LATAM for Avelar Energy, a Russian led developer and investor in renewable assets, where he pioneered private, non-government PPA-based solar PV projects in South Africa. 
Marcus started his career in the PV industry with a major German EPC and O+M.
During his banking career, Marcus also held positions at KfW IPEX Bank, the Royal Bank of Scotland and Movesta Swiss.
Marcus holds an LL.M. (Finance) from ILF in Frankfurt, Germany, a MBA from USB in Stellenbosch, South Africa, and a clean energy certificate from the Yale School of the Environment.

Jose Barragan, 20 years of experience in CSP Technology and engineering activities in PV, Wind, and BESS Technologies.
He joined ACWA Power in 2014 as Senior Manager – CSP (Concentrating Solar Power) and in 2020 he was appointed as head of Renewable technical function including PV, Wind, BESS and CSP technologies.
Before ACWA Power, Jose has been working in Abengoa Solar for 9 years in Concentrating Solar Power projects around the world.
He is Industrial Engineer specialized in Energy for University of Seville (Spain).
He has several publications, patents, and papers about solar energy.

As a Senior Business Development Manager at Yellow Door Energy, Sophia combines her commercial expertise and engineering education to bring forth the best solar solutions for her customers. She works closely with commercial and industrial businesses in the UAE and Oman to bring them solar leases: a hassle-free way to adopt solar, reduce energy costs and lower carbon emissions.
Sophia is also a certified facilitator with Climate Fresk, which enables her to conduct climate change-related workshops to business groups and schools.
With over a decade of experience in international markets such as France, Morocco, and the GCC, Sophia specializes in the energy and industrial sectors.
Prior to joining Yellow Door Energy, Sophia worked as a business development manager at KSB Middle East, where she spearheaded commercial efforts to achieve exponential growth in the region. Vincent Liu, currently holding the position of Overseas Sales Director at LEAPTING, oversees the development and implementation of sales strategies for LEAPTING in the Middle East and Indian markets. With nearly 15 years of extensive experience in international market expansion and sales management, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership. Under his leadership, the Indian team successfully propelled LEAPTING's cleaning robots to secure the leading position in India's photovoltaic intelligent robot market share during the first half of 2024.

Jean Morcos, Senior Investment Officer and Regional Sustainable and Climate Finance Lead for Infrastructure at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group.
Based in Dubai, Jean is a Senior Investment Officer within the Middle East, Central Asia, Türkiye, Afghanistan and Pakistan (MCT) Infrastructure unit at IFC and provides debt and equity financing to clients covering telecoms, power, renewable energy, mining, transport & logistics and municipals amongst other sectors. Jean is also the regional lead for Sustainable and Climate Finance for Infrastructure within MCT. Prior to joining IFC, Jean worked in London at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Barclays Capital and Standard Bank. Jean has led, structured and committed more than US$2 billion worth of transactions across Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Jean is a CFA and CAIA Charterholder, a Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales and a graduate of Oxford University (St Anne’s).

Nahla Abid, currently Vice-President, Strategy, Marketing and Sales for the CIF Middle East, Caspian & Africa, has joined BV in 2017 as Director, Sales & Marketing for Middle East Region. She has been since then involved in business development, building the marketing and communication team, and developing the sales team competences as well as processes. She is leading the team working on developing the new strategy for the Middle East region with a special focus on energy transition, Hydrogen and Renewables. Prior to joining Bureau Veritas, she started her career with Air Liquide group in 2007 where she spent 10 years in various strategy, business development and marketing positions in Germany and in the UAE. She worked in their Industrial Merchant Business line in Germany, their Engineering and Construction arm (at that time Lurgi GmbH) in Frankfurt, and in their Large Industries Business Line in the Middle East based in Dubai. Nahla is an Industrial Engineer from Ecole Centrale de Paris (France) and speaks fluently Arabic, French, English and German. 

Born in Turkey, Bugra Can holds an undergraduate degree in Energy Engineering and brings over 13 years of specialized experience in the solar sector. Since joining GoodWe in 2019, he has leveraged his technical expertise as a Solution Manager, providing advanced pre-sales support to the MENA team. 

Mhairi specialises in corporate and commercial aspects of energy and infrastructure projects, advising on project development and M&A in the energy and infrastructure sectors, including renewables (CSP, solar PV, wind, hydro and waste-to-energy), hydrogen, conventional utilities, infrastructure (rail, schools, hospitals, waste, roads and data centres), oil and gas and natural resources.
Ranked as a ‘Leading Individual’ by Legal 500 in the Infrastructure and Projects (Including Project Finance) category, Mhairi is Head of the Middle East Projects and Corporate Group. 

Jennifer Kusch serves as the Head of Talent Acquisition for GCC & Pakistan at ENGIE, drawing on over two decades of HR Management expertise. Based in Dubai, she spearheads the recruitment strategies and initiatives across the GCC and Pakistan, ensuring the acquisition of top-tier talent that aligns with ENGIE's vision and goals.

François-Xavier is the VP of Business Development - Renewables for AMEA and Managing Director for North Africa (Morocco and Egypt) & the Middle East (GCC) at ENGIE. He has over 20 years of experience in the field of Business Development, Acquisitions, and Project and Structured Finance.
He led the acquisition by ENGIE of a 40% stake in Tabreed in 2016/2017 and was subsequently appointed as Chief Development Officer in September 2017. Prior to this, he spent 5 years with the ENGIE group in Dubai as Business Development and AIFA Senior Vice President, where he was responsible for leading the business development of large power and water projects, structuring and negotiation of projects, and equity investments.
Prior to joining ENGIE in January 2013, he worked for Acwa Power in Dubai and in financial institutions such as ABC Bank in Bahrain, Ambac in London, and Natixis in Paris. He started his career at Dragages et Travaux Construction Group (Bouygues Construction group) in Hong Kong.

Parag Narsingkar has more than 20 years of strong track record in project financing, refinancing, business development and M&A in various infrastructure segments like renewable and conventional energy, water desalination, district cooling and highways.
Over the last 10 years Parag has been a senior member of ENGIE’s Acquisitions Investments & Financial Advisory (AIFA) Team, leading bids/project financings/refinancings/acquisitions both in India and the Middle East . During this time, he has successfully led and closed several complex transactions involving diverse multi-cultural teams.
Prior to joining ENGIE, Parag has been a vital member of the core leadership team in two reputed listed Indian infrastructure companies, developing large infrastructure platforms in highly competitive markets.
He is an engineering graduate with a Masters’ degree in finance and business administration from the University of Mumbai, India.

Karim is the Founder and Executive Director of Orisun Invest, a project origination platform in renewable energy he launched in 2020, focusing on wind and solar in emerging markets. Orisun has closed after 3 years of operation 605 MW in 8 different countries and the company benefits from continuous deal flow of around 1.5 GW.

Karim has over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, having founded and co-founded several companies active in Europe, Africa and Asia, providing advisory or development services to both private companies and governments. He participated through his companies in the closing of over $500 million of equity. Earlier in his career, Karim held managerial positions at Dexia Bank, participating in the closing of more than $ 2 billion of debt and over 1 GW of on-shore wind and solar capacities.

He is a board member of the Global Solar Council and is acting as Director Transaction Advisor in Dii Desert Energy, a leading business network in the MENA region advocating for an acceleration of the energy transition, which he represents at the IRENA Coalition for Action.
